Flying over New Zealand’s backyard

The backyard, that’s what they call the amazing 1.2 million hectares area of Fjordland National Park. The luck was on our side today when we were supposed to fly from Milford Sound to Queenstown as usually on 3 out of 4 days it is impossible to fly over. The area is known for its heavy weather conditions. We flew with a turboprop aircraft. At first I was sceptical about such a small plane and expected it to be a turbulent flight, but it turned out to be a very smooth flight. The views are awesome.
